Established in 2008 with gifts from the family and friends of Harold Luster, the Harold Luster Memorial Scholarship is awarded for persons pursuing Fire/EMS Training at a Texas Fire/EMS school or vocational training center. Scholarships are available for Fire School Basic Structural Firefighter Certification, Para-Medicine Course, or EMT Basic Certification training.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be an active member of the Emergency Medical Service community.
- Robertson County residents are given priority.
- Applicants should have EMT Certification for fire academy admission or for paramedic course admission
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Applicants can be of any age
In order to be considered for this scholarship, please submit the following:
- A completed application
- A written essay of no more than two pages expressing motivation for attending your selected course
- Two letters of recommendation
Scholarship Amount
Varies depending on funds available and number of scholarships issued. Funds may be used for tuition and fees.
